An alle, die kein richtiges Zepter erhalten konnten und dazu bestimmt sind, für immer in den Ozeanen zu wandern - beraubt von ihrem natürlichen Reinkarnationsrecht im Recycling-Zyklus des Lebens. Ihnen gegenüber haben wir eine Verpflichtung zu erfüllen.

Jedes Jahr landen 12.7 Millionen Tonnen Plastik-müll in unseren Ozeanen.

Das aus 64 gebrauchten Plastikflaschen bestehende Denkmal, realisiert von Pierre Guilloux, soll auf die Bedeutung der Wiederverwendung von Plastik aufmerksam machen.

Durch eine Analogie zwischen Menschen und Plastikflaschen, hinterfragt der Künstler unsere Beziehung zu Objekten und die Art und Weise, wie wir sie behandeln. Jede Flasche hat ein unterschiedlich gemaltes Gesicht und wenn du an einem windigen Tag kommst – höre gut zu – denn vielleicht hörst du das Jammern ihrer verlorenen Seelen...

In the memory of the lost bottles who bravely gave their life to bring beverages to their countries. For those who could not receive a proper scepter, and are destined to wander for eternity in the oceans, deprived of their natural right of reincarnation in the (re)cycle of life. To them we have a solemn obligation.

 Realised by Pierre Guilloux, this memorial made of 64 used plastic bottles is meant to raise awareness on the importance of reusing plastic. By doing an analogy between humans and plastic bottles, the artist is questioning our relationship with objects and the way we treat them. Each bottles have their unique faces painted on them, and if you come during a windy day, listen carefully, you might hear the wail of their haunted souls...
